Collection: Tin Can Beach

Back in the 1940s and 50s, the 3½-mile stretch of beach that today is Bolsa Chica State Beach was called "Tin Can Beach." Drifters, wanderers, and even a few locals built shacks from cardboard, pitched tents, and made a game of leaving garbage, especially cans and bottles on the beach. Lots of rusty cuts later, the state eventually acquired the beach for $1 million and cleaned things up. Tin Can Beach never really had a logo. This is what we imagined it could look like. Enjoy!
