Collection: Pav-A-Lon Ballroom
Built in 1938, this pier-side palace instantly became one of the most iconic buildings in Huntington Beach. Originally hosting many popular orchestras of the day (and popular performers including Nat "King" Cole), over the decades it evolved with musical tastes and eventually featured everyone from Ike and Tina Turner to the Beach Boys. Many civic events were also held here and it even morphed to a roller rink at one point. It was torn down in the mid-1990s, and many may remember it as Maxwell's restaurant by then. The Pav-a-Lon Ballroom is one of the great lost landmarks of Huntington Beach; a stylish, elegant, multi-functional venue that served the community for approx. 60 years.
